DPMAC Site Log Support

Software Development and IT Support in Tameside

Getting Started

On first launch, your phone will ask for your name and an activation code. This code is only available to DPMAC members, and can be supplied by any of the committee, or in the WhatsApp Group. The name you enter can be a nickname if you prefer.

Logging your visit

  • Launch the app – it won’t ask you for your name this time, and click on the Record Site Use button.
  • Today’s date, and your name are automatically filled in the boxes. You may change the name or the date, and there’s a handy calendar button to make choosing the date easier.
  • Choose whether you visited Birch Vale or Longdendale site
  • The final two selectors are self-explanatory. If you untick/deselect the GDPR button, your name is NOT stored, and no personally identifiable data is transmitted or stored. Simply that someone used the site on the date supplied.
  • When you’re happy with the selections, click the Submit button

Checking a date

  • Launch the app – it won’t ask you for your name this time, and click on the Check Site Use button.
  • Today’s date is automatically filled in. Use the calendar icon to easily choose an alternative date.
  • When you have entered the date you’d like to check, click the “Check This Date” button.
  • Below the button, you will see one of 3 options for each site:
    1) The name of the person who has logged a visit
    2) The text “Name Not Stored (GDPR)” where someone has logged use anonymously
    3) The text “No Report” – i.e. nobody has logged a site use for that site/date
  • Click Close when you are done.

Checking the Weather at Birch Vale

  • Launch the app – it won’t ask you for your name this time, and click on the View Birch Vale Weather button.
  • The page will link to the Weather Log page for the Birch Vale Wind Monitor.
  • When you are finished, click Close.
